Keep in mind that older hardware simply won’t include some of the hardware conveniences being included inside new Windows 10 machines. For example, Windows Hello, which logs you into your PC by recognizing your face or your fingerprint, won’t work with all webcams—chances are that you'll need to buy something like a Tobii Eye Tracker 4C. Speech recognition will work best with a high-fidelity microphone array; no surprise there. And there’s a whole host of nitty-gritty specifics that Microsoft has included for Windows 10 Professional, such as a requirements for BitLocker and Wi-Fi Direct Printing.
We’d recommend trying this Nirsoft utility should snag your Windows 10 product key. Copy it down and squirrel it away.
If Microsoft hasn't already updated you directly to the Fall Creators Update or above, be prepared to go through some additional downloads and updates, too. With Windows, updating typically takes a while. Your best bet is to kick off the process during the evening, do some laundry or watch some TV, and check back every so often.

How to “downgrade” from Windows 10 and go back to Windows 7 and 8.1
Congratulations, you have upgraded to Windows 10. But what if you want to return to Windows 10?
If you have upgraded to Windows 10 and then changed your mind, there should still be an escape door. (We ca n’t guarantee, especially as Microsoft keeps updating Windows 10 for updates.) If you want, you can recover from Windows 10 to an earlier operating system within 31 days. (However, once the 31 days expire, the upgrade will be permanent!)
Windows 10 reverts to Windows 8
To downgrade to Windows 8.1 or Windows 7, open the "Settings" menu and then "Update and Security"> "Recovery." You will see the "Return to ..." option in previous operating systems. However, if these 31 days expire, you will only see "Reset this PC" or "Advanced startup" options, neither of which will restore the PC to an earlier operating system.
Windows 10 does allow you to revert to the previous operating system after the upgrade, but only for a limited time. Please note that there is also an option to "reset" the PC. If Windows 10 is running slowly, this can also help speed up the operation. A fresh installation is sometimes a good idea-another reason for backing up files.
2,An internet connection is required to perform the upgrade. Windows 10 is a large file -- about 3 GB -- and Internet access (ISP) fees might apply.
To check for device compatibility and other important installation information, visit your device manufacturer’s website. Manufacturer contact information can be found on the Contact Information page.
The upgradeability of a device includes factors beyond the system specification. This includes driver and firmware support, application compatibility, and feature support, regardless of whether or not the device meets the minimum system specification for Windows 10.
Support may vary by device. Find more information on the Windows Lifecycle page.
